FUTURO PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR LATINO COLLEGE STUDENTS      I     2013     © ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Trevecca

The Trevecca Chapter has been developing and growing over the past year. Our students have been combining  leadership and professional skills along with our drive to succeed to create events on our campus. We continually recruit students and our membership is growing. This chapter provides our students with many opportunities that will help them with their future professional jobs.

The most fascinating of all was the opportunity to socialize with the other FUTURO chapters and meet successful professionals who have shared their experiences with us.

Trevecca holds an event called Inside Trevecca Day  three different times each year. This event lets students from all over the world visit the campus, meet new people, and meet the staff.  Our FUTURO chapter was honored to participate in this event. We had a chance to talk with every individual that attended the event. Later on we gave a tour to the YMCA Latino Achievers high school students. It was a great experience to help out our Latino community. The students asked great questions about college and they were very excited to be on campus.

We stay active and involved looking for opportunities to be part of all that is going on around us. All of our members were able to attend the FUTURO Launch Conference and  the networking party afterwards at the Hard Rock Café. We all got the chance to celebrate what a great opportunity it is to be involved in this group. The first Latino College fair in Middle Tennessee was hosted on our campus and the other chapters got the chance to come and meet our University. We had almost 300 Latino high school students participate. Overall we are very glad to be part of this new group and our University. We expect to grow more and to continue to keep helping our community.’
